Isabella Wright was born in Tamney Donegal to Eliza Ann McElhenny. Eliza's husband was William Wright a member of the RIC. Apparently both were from Londonderry/Derry. Eliza's father was a Charles McElhenny a school teacher at the Tamney Robertson one room school house in Tamney. I took a tour of the school house, when it was still operating in 1998. It has since closed. She had a sister Margaret Ann, 2 living brothers. Charles William Wright and Samuel Hamilton Wright. They all migrated to Philadelphia, PA Two of her brothers John Gregory and James died young at 3 1/2 and 6 years. William stayed in Donegal and passed away in 1887. Pension was sent to his wife in the U.S. or at least that is what it shows.
