These names and villages are similar to those I've found through paper records as well as DNA matches. Migration pattern follows several of my matches as well. Peter Hogan was my second great-grandfather on Mom's side. He emigrated from Tipperary to the United States circa 1849-1850. He met Bridget Murry, also an Irish immigrant, and they married in Canandaigua, Ontario County, New York about 1854. Peter had various jobs, including day laborer, railroad track hand, and farmer. Peter and Bridget had 4 children : James Henry Hogan, Edward Hogan, William Patrick Hogan, and Mary J. Hogan. The family lived in Rochester, New York until at least 1867, then lived in Dupage, Illinois for a short time. By 1870 they had moved to Webster County, Iowa, where they lived until their deaths.
I'd like to find information on Pete's/Bridget's parents and which townlands/parishes they came from. Peter & Bridget may have come from the same area, but not necessarily? I have names for Bridget's parents, but not for Peter's. I've been exploring Birth, Death, Tithe and Valuation Records. One of my distant Hogan/Murry relatives reached out to me and thinks he has found family in the Youghalarra area (Gortnaveigh, Pallas More, Boolaglass), so I have primariy focused on those areas, but also am looking at Borrisokane, Clogher, Emly.
