Per St. John's cemetery headstone born 9-14-1814 and died 2-17-1898. Left Ireland (ship unknown) at young age with 2 older brothers. They first went to Scranton Pa and Michael was sent to Rochester Township Ontario to live with cousins Michael and John Byrne that had left Ireland sometime earlier. Several census and land deeds subsequently recorded these 2 Michaels as Michael1 and Michael2 or Sr and the second. He was married to Mariah Strong (7 children) and Mary Halley (1 child) . The 2 brothers remained in Scranton working in coal mines per handed down stories. Michael's parents and the older brothers stories are unknown.
