When Dominick O’MALLEY MEALLY was born in abt 1818 in Mayo, Leitrim, his father, John, was abt 28 and his mother, Mary, was abt 18. He married Catherine O'MALLEY MEALLY in abt 1840 in Mayo. They had 12 children over 19 years. He died on 9 February 1879 in Grenfell, New South Wales, at the age of 61. He was a colourful character
