Hello
My 3xgreat grandmother Hannah Murphy was born in County Mayo in 1819. Her parents were William and Catherine Murphy. Hannah married John McLean/McLane born 1821 also County Mayo. They had 5 children in total, Patrick 1848, Michael 1854, John my direct ancestor 1856, Anthony 1860 all born in County Mayo. They then left Ireland and went to England where Hannah was born 1863 in Wooler Northumberland and the family finally settled in Newcastle upon Tyne. Unfortunately I have no real indication of the parish or townland in Mayo that they lived apart from the McLean side who apparently came from Ballycastle Antrim in about 1797 and I understand they settled in Ballycastle Mayo. If anyone has any links to me please message me.
Karen.
