Hi I have recently Joined this Group, my Maternal 2 x great Grandfather was John Hand he was Born 1858 Baptised 1st August 1858 Donabate, Dublin, his Trade was a Master Tailor. so was his Son Stephen Michael Hand, B1886 Balrothy, Dublin. was also a Master Tailor, but he came to England from what i can understand to get away from the Black and Tans. He joined the Army served in WW1 Married Ethel Ann Baldwin 1911, I am interested in the HAND family name i believe i have found John Hand Parents John Hand and Bridget Thompson. John Hand wife i think was Jane Mcnally. I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who is studying this name. Or who is a decendent relative of the above , as we can share information etc (Profile Picture is of John Hand Grave in Donabate)
