Mary McDermott, daughter of John McDermott of Scregg, Drumlion married Stephen Barrett (1885-1971) of Ballinvilla in 1915 at Drumlion Church.
In 1939, she died of breast cancer (age 60) with her only child, Stephen J Barrett of Ballinvilla (1917-1982) present at death. She was interred in the Barrett plot at Killappoge Graveyard, Croghan.
Her widowed husband, "Old Stephen" Barrett, remarried (Bridgid Feeney of Holburn St., Sligo) in 1941 and had 2 daughters.
