Henry was born in 1834 in Galway to parents James Mcevoy and Julia Smyth. Henry married Julia Stanley (from Kilkenny) in 1864. Henry and (sister) Bardelia McEvoy arrived in Australia on February 3, 1858 onboard the ship ‘Telegraph’ from Galway, Ireland. Henry aged 22, was a farm laborer (it looks like on document), RC, and could read and write. Henry lived and worked at Clarendon NSW with wife Julia, married at St Matthews RC Church in Windor in 1864. He worked at Clarendon Dairy. Henry and Julia had the following children: James Stanley McEvoy born Richmond, New South Wales 1865; Mary Ellen McEvoy born Richmond, New South Wales 1867; Margaret Isabella McEvoy born Richmond, New South Wales 1868; Cathleen Agnes McEvoy born Clarendon (Richmond) NSW Jan 22 1870 (my great grandmother); Henry John McEvoy born Richmond, New South Wales 1871; Cecil Christopher McEvoy born Richmond, New South Wales 1873; Frederick Charles McEvoy born Richmond, New South Wales 1875; Julia Ann McEvoy born Botany Rd, Waterloo, Sydney, NSW, Australia Aug 15 1876; Bertie Patrick McEvoy born Waterloo, New South Wales 1878. Henry died at Waterloo, NSW on May 23 1912.
