Hugh McCormick is my great great grandfather and according to the 1911 UK census was born in Killishandra Cavan in around 1849. His sister Rose Ann McCormick was born in Preston Lancashire in 1858 but later emigrated to the USA.
I believe his father was Peter McCormick or McCormack and his mother was called Catherine (possibly Murphy)
