Fannie was born at Largybeg, Ardstraw to James and Margaret Stevenson Given. She had a known sister Elizabeth and brother William.
Fannie worked at the Tyrone infirmary and met her husband James Young (from Glasalts, Carndonagh, Donegal) who drove for a doctor there.
Her sister Elizabeth married Edward Somerville from Irvinestown. Both she and Elizabeth left to settle in Groveland, New York and Livonia, New York respectfully. We don't know what happened to William.
