Mary was baptized in Doneraile in 1816. Her parents were Sarah Lombard and Thomas Flaherty and they lived in Baltydaniel.
Mary married Maurice Higgins whose son Maurice Higgins was baptized in Kildorrery (live in Ballyvoddy) in 1835 and emigrated to America in 1860.
Most of the American church records mention Lombards as witnesses or sponsors.
I cannot seem to make the connection with the Lombards other than they're probably all cousins.

Looking at Mary's baptism in Doneraile, Co Cork on 30/11/1816 her sponsors were Samuel and Norry (Mary) Lombard whose son Thomas was baptised on the same date, presumably a double christening, Perhaps Sarah and Samuel were siblings. so this may be worthwhile following up. Also looking at Thomas baptism record I think Norry was a Ryan but scan hazy.

Dear Team, Thanks so much for this info. I had Mary's Baptismal Record, but never looked for any other Lombards on the page; even though the Record for Thomas was on the next line! I must be much more astute in looking at the records for more clues. I've set up a separate tree for the Lombards, so at some point I might be able to connect all the Lombards.
