My name is James McAndrew and I live in Kingston, Pennsylvania. I'm trying to find a great aunt Bridget McAndrew that married Patrick Coleman in Ireland.
Bridget McAndrew was born about 1830 in County Mayo and had one brother Owen McAndrew that was born about 1832. Bridget married Patrick Coleman in Ireland. Don't know when he was born or when they were married. They had 4 children; Mary born about 1853, Ann born about 1857, James born about 1863, and Bridget born about 1865. They immigrated to the U.S. about the same time as her brother Owen McAndrew did with his family in the 1865-1867 time frame.
The only clue I have of their parents names is from Owen McAndrew's death certificate when he died on October 27, 1906 in Duryea, Pennsylvania. His fathers first initial was scribbled as an O. or D. McAndrew and his mothers was Mary and her last name scribbled Dunnigan.
Bridget McAndrew Coleman died a widow on August 13, 1910 in Avoca, Pennsylvania and is buried there in St. Mary's Cemetery. There is no Death Certificate of her death on record in the state of Pennsyvania. Her death is recorded in St. Mary's Church Death Register with a note that she was the wife of Patrick Coleman (deceased). The church did not begin recording deaths until 1903.
