My great great grandfather, John Martin (Birth 15 April 1826) came from County Meath Ireland. 

He went to the United States and married a young woman called Hanora Ryan.  Hanora was born in New York in 1839, and dies in 1889. They eventually ended up in Green Isle, Minnesota. He died in 1914. 

John's father was Thomas Martin and his mother was a "Miss Duffy", both born in Ireland, but I don't know where.

We also have family connections to Galway, somehow. I have no further information. Can anyone there help?
