Bridget Dillon's address is given as Pensioners Row, Tullamore and her occupation is listed as Milliner - Bridget's parents were a John Dillon and a Julia Heiffern. Bridget's date of birth is given as o1 March 1858. While serving in the army he was in Ireland from Feb. 1880 to Sept. 1884, The West Indies from Sept. 1884 to May 1886, back in Ireland from May to Dec. 1886 from where he was sent to South Africa and eventually discharged in consequence of having claimed on payment of £18-00.
My grandmother, Mary Jane Hayes was born in Tullamore on 21 Sept. 1883 and one two of her siblings, Adelaide was born in the West Indies (1886) and John and Kathleen Bridget were born in Natal, South Africa in 1887 and 1889.
