My G/G/ grandfather Denis McCafferty ; was born in Ireland in 1814. He married Ann Kelly in R.C. church in Ballymoney, County Antrim in 1839.They moved to the Bridgeton area in Glasgow in either 1840 or 1841. Their oldest child James, my G/ grandfather; was born in Glasgow, on 20 march 1841. This is the furthest back that I have reached in my father,s ( William) family history. I have it in my mind; that they have come from County Donegal, or around Derry.
