William Martin and Ellen Smith lived in the Templeport area of County Cavan. They were married about 1830.
It is not known if they left Ireland, but their daughter, Mary Martin, did go to Canada and was married 4 Nov 1852 at Fitzroy Harbour, Ontario to Thomas Behan, whose family was from Tipperary.
