Jane Quinn was my Great great Grandmother. She married in Tonbridge, Kent, England in 1866 to Charles Smitherman. On the marriage certificate she names her father as "Patrick Quinn, Policeman, Deceased". That marriage was the first Roman Catholic marriage in my family, a fact I believe points to her religion.
Earlier than that marriage I have never yet found any reference to her or her family. But later, on each census she states her birth as "about 1842 in Belleek, Fermanagh, Ireland".
I have searched all known parish records for Belleek and around that area, even visiting a few years ago. I have also researched the Irish Constabulary records for her father. That turned up a handful of possibilities, but none with sufficient information to be verified.
So any further information anyone has will be VERY gratefully received.
