I've traced my 3 x great grandfather -Richard Marron ( Marren, Marrin, Marin) back to Newry, he was born in about 1811, I think in Newry. He then travelled to Whitehaven.
If anyone has any information on the family, or himself, I'd love to know many thanks

The place where Richard was living in 1872 was Drumnasillagh (spelling varies). That’s actually in Co. Louth, though the marriage was nearby in Co. Armagh.
Griffiths Valuation (1854) shows Patrick & Henry Marron jointly farming plot 2 which was a 12 acre farm in Drumnasillagh.
Possible death for Henry in 1869 aged 77, registered in Dundalk. (That record is not free to view yet so can’t add any more information. You would need to order a copy from GRO Roscommon).
Patrick Marron death in 1897:
Patrick senior’s son Patrick married in 1899:

My 2x great grandfather was Francis Martin. He was born in 1845 in Tully, County Louth. His father was James born in 1811 and his mother was Judith, nee Byrne. Wonder if this is the same family? Cindy
