I understand the Census of Elphin occurred in 1749 in Northern Ireland?
Has anyone got access to it online?
What did you learn from it?

Diane:
The Census of Elphin was not conducted in Northern Ireland. It was mainly in Co. Roscommon and some parishes in Galway and Sligo. See this item from another part of our web site https://www.irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/history-and-genealogy/timeline/census-elphin-diocese

Thank you Roger.
My Gilhooly Ancestors lived in Townland Lurgan in Roscommon.
This was at the time of Griffiths Valuation and before.
Townland Lurgan cant be found in the Tithes or likely the Census of Elphin.
It was called something else at the time of the Tithe Applotments/Census of Elphin. Do you know what it was called?

Diane:
There were 890 Tithe entries for Kilronan parish. I think that your ancestors lived in Lurga Lee which likely became Lurgan. There is a Pat Killuly and a Thady Killuly in Lurga Lee. They were leasing 11 acres https://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/reels/tab//004625686/004625686_00210.pdf
