My grandmother Elizabeth Coon was born in Ferbane in the late 19th century. She had a brother James (Jimmy) and a sister Cissie. I'm trying to trace the history of the Coon family in Ferbane.

Per Roots Ireland, there was also a Mary Ann born to James and Bridget in 1879. I did not find a marriage record.

Do you know the names of Elizabeths parents or mothers maiden name? The name Coon is also a shortened version of Cooney.

There is a second James Coon ( a Tailor) married to a Kate Hertman in the same time frame but the names of their children so far do not include an Elizabeth, will keep trying
