My great-grandmother Catherine McGough was born in County Monaghan in 1832 - 1833 to Francis McGough (farmer) and Sarah (née Monroe). She emigrated to Australia in 1863 on the ship “Gresham”.
I have no information at all about the family or its circumstances. I don’t know the parish in which they lived.
