Hi fellow members of Killeedy parish. I am searching for information on John and Mary O'Sullivan/Sullivan of Ashford and their two daughters Julia born 1859 and Ellen in 1861. Mary died in 1879 in Ashford but have not been able to find a record for John of yet but he had died before 1879. Julia then came to Australia in 1880 and Ellen in 1881. John Sullivan also had a brother Patrick who also had many children in Ashford with his wife Mary Power. Patrick was a carpenter. If anyone has any information it would be muchly appreciated.

Hello Amanda - https://rootsireland.ie/ifhf/index.php
shows that John Sullivan died of a fever (he suffered for 9 days)on 10 August 1870.
The address given was Toureenagreena, Ashford and the registration area is shown as Broadford. His brother Patrick confirmed the death
Mary died 14 June 1879 (Asthina) she was 65 years and the registration also Broadford, shows that Mary was a labourer & widowed.
So far I have not been able to find Patrick's details of marriage and / or family but I will work on this and come back to you.
Ashford is a tiny but lovely village between Broadford and Dromcollogher (a mile away from the Cork border) but still in Co.Limerick

Thank you so much for your response Jean. I had seen this index entry for John Sullivan and it seemed the most likely. With regards to Patrick, I have not been able to locate a marriage record but he and his wife Mary Power had many children between 1860 and 1870 in Ashford and Broadford. After that I cannot find any record of him and it may be that he moved away or even immigrated. Any additional information you could provide would be much appreciated. I believe that John and Patrick's parents were Denis Sullivan and Judith Price and there is an index entry for a Jude Sullivan in 1864 in Newcastle. Thanks again.
