I’m looking for information regarding John Clancy whom I believe married Grace Brogan. They had at least 2 daughters, Mary Ellen b. 1904 & Grace Winifred b. 1910. At the time of Mary Ellen’s marriage in Glasgow in 1924 John Clancy’s occupation was given as Tram Car Driver and Grace was deceased. I have been unable to trace any marriage record for them nor death records for either despite searching both UK & Ireland records. Any help would be appreciated.

Ancestry also has another daughter of this couple - Margaret (1909-1976) who married Thomas Cougan in 1931 in Glasgow, Scotland. They then moved to Sydney and had 10 children. She is the most documented person of the three sisters. There are not many records attached to confirm births, marriages, etc; but it appears they were Scottish.
The 1931 marriage record has the same details for Margaret's parents that you mention above.

Many thanks for your reply which has been very helpful. I noticed that Margaret’s surname is recorded as Glancy not Clancy and this led me to a death certificate for her mother Grace and a marriage certificate for John & Grace. Haven’t found her father’s death record as yet but hopefully should be able to soon. Again thank you so much for your help.
