Hello, Patrick Clancy married Margaret Brassil in Tulla on 2 March 1835 and they had seven children. Their sons James, Michael, Denis and John and their daughters Joanna and Bridget all came to Australia. The youngest daughter Mary, stayed in Ireland and married James Cunningham on 9 Feb 1875 and lived on the townland of Tome and (what I believe) to be Laccaroe, now Lecarrow North, next to Tome). Of their children, Michael, Mary, Patrick and James all died without children, and Patrick came to Australia. However, I cannot find any trace of Margaret, who was born in 1876. Does anyone know what happened to Margaret? Also happy to accept any queries about any of the family mentioned above, or their descendants. Regards, Jenny Bowden

Hi Jenny -
Please accept my apologies, but I am having trouble finding this family in Ireland. Can you give me some additional information. I cannot find the marriage record in 1835 for Patrick Clancy and Margaret (Peg) Brassil. They may have married in the bride's parish which may be another place, but I don't see a marriage in County Clare. I see James Clancy baptised on 11 Jul 1836 in Tulla, Killaloe Diocese and Johanna Clancy baptised 22 Feb. 1847, also in Killaloe Diocese. But I cannot find the other children baptismal records. Can you give me an idea what year they emigrated to Australia and what area they emigrated in Australia.
Another mystery is the marriage of Margaret born in 1876, which is quite late in the marriage considering the other children were known to be born in the 1836 and 1847.
Let me know if I can be of additional assistance.
