Maybe Levi. It looks like the family plot. I went back several generations of this family and they have a long history in New Jersey. If they were from Ireland, it was perhaps in the 1700s or earlier.

Based on Thomas' Social Security record above, his mother's last name was Gibbons. Bridget was born in New York. I found a Bridget Gibbons living in New York in 1880. She might be your Bridget Mellick? Her father had passed away. Both parents came from Ireland. Did not find where they came from.

If I identified the correct Mellick family, I thought I would send more info I found on Ancestry. Levi's parents were John Mellick and Elizabeth Linn. John fought in the Civil War.

I can't confirm they were from Mt. Mellick. I found an 1868 bank statement for a Barbara Gibbons in New York. I don't know if this is your Barbara, but it identified her from Galway??

In the US City Directories, 1868-1882, Barbara is identified as a widow, spouse's name James.
