I was told that my great, great grandfather, Thomas Connelly, was born in 1811 in County Kildare. His grandfather, George Connelly, was born in Castletown or Celbridge, County Kildare. Not positive about any of this, but wondering if anybody from the Connelly family are still in Kildare. If so, please let me know. I live in the U.S. (Wisconsin). Thanks, Kerry Connelly
PS. Most, if not all, the Connelly's and Hanlon's were in the printing, ruling or book binding business.

Hello,
In the 1911 Irish census--the most recent census available to researchers--there were about 370 Connelly/Connollys in Kildare. One would guess that there are many descendants of these people living in Kildare today.
