I found the Civil Death for a child AGNES TOOLE in Annaghvane (and variants) 28 Mar 1883, age 2 weeks. But, as you know, I cannot confirm this may be an ancestor without seeing both parents which is included in the Civil record. I didn't see a church record either. Can anyone see the birth record for Agnes perhaps that I cannot see? Thank you.

Good afternoon,
Annaghvaan is located in County Galway, Civil Parish-Killannin, Poor Law Union-Oughterard, and Registrar's District-Lettermore. After searching, I cannot find the death record. FamilySearch has these records located off-site and the records cannot be searched online. Irishgenealogy.ie will allow you to pay for a copy of the record, rather than just the abstract. The cost is 5 euros, but unfortunately I do not know what the civil record includes.
If you are close to a Family History Center, the film can be ordered.
Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Hello,
The death record for Agnes notes that her father was John Toole, so there's the name of one of her parents.
There is probably no birth record because the parents had not registered the child's birth--and then she died at two weeks of age.

John was a Landholder. Looking at 1883, in the area, one Births stands out, born the 1st March 1883
The deaths states
Annaghvaan Townland, Co. Galway (townlands.ie)The birth states
Lettermullan, County Galway, Ireland - Bing MapsShe was registered as Barbara. She was the only girl born that year. She would have been 4 weeks at death.
2008701.pdf (irishgenealogy.ie)I did check for Agnes births, no results. Must be her.

Have you thought about trying variations of the name or searching in neighboring areas?

Just to expand a bit on what I wrote earlier. In 1883, parents would have had to register a child's birth within a certain time period. If they missed the deadline, they sometimes lied about the date of the child's birth. In the case of Agnes, because no one has located a birth registration for her, it is likely that when she died at the age of 2 weeks, her birth had not yet been registered. Her death was registered, and that is likely all that was done.
