As my ancestors Emigrated in the mid-1750's, I struggle to be able to add them to the data base as the field that has a pull-down menu called Place of Migration, does not contain any references to British North America, which is what later became Upper and Lower Canada and eventually the US and Canada. What would be the most appropriate selection in this menu for my situation where there we understand that he arrived likely in the early to mid-1760's to Newark, Niagara, Lincoln, Upper Canada, British North America?
Also due to the era, we have no Parish information, and cannot be sure (due to circumstances) what religion he was (i.e. Catholic, Church of England or ???). Our understanding is that our relative John Friel was born May 10th, 1743 in the County Donegal, Ireland.
Thanks

Migrated to / Born in Canada...seems the best choice.
