My great-grandmother was Mary McNamara, born in Limerick in 1829 (don't know if it was the city or the county). Family oral history is that her father was named Daniel McNamara and her mother's first name was also Mary. I do not have knowledge of any siblings. Do you have records on any Mary McNamaras that fit the above description? The surname of her mother would be of particular interest.
She was in the US by 1854 where I have found a marriage record in Decatur County, Indiana on 29 Dec 1854 to John Grady (b.1932 in Killaloe parish, County Clare). By that time, she had changed her surname and is listed on the marriage record as Mary Mack.
Thank you in advance for looking into this. Your volunteers are greatly appreciated!

Hi Suellen,
Mary McNamara would be a common name in Limerick and Clare. Given that the records for that time frame are not available for every parish, it would impossible to narrow it down for you. I believe that your best option may be the DNA route to try to connect with a McNamara line that could link you to your Mary.
Best of luck with your search

If you watch both versions attentively. You will definitely notice the difference in the music.
