Another year almost passed by and only a few steps further forward, in spite of some really excellent background research and information from Shane and Dave, for which many, many thanks.
My quest is still to find Maria Louisa's parents and / or siblings. She married Mountefort Stoughton Hyleger LLOYD and travelled with him to India whilst he fought in various campaigns. She gave birth to a number of children before dying in childbirth. I already have a great deal of information about MSHL's life and his family, but have reached a proverbial brick wall in respect of the NESBITT family who, it appears, came from Cork or County Cork.
Anything to help open this door of mystery will be greatly appreciated.

Peter,
You probably have the name of Maria's father which appears to be John - Address: Fermoy.
Source: Warder & Dublin Weekly Mail dated February 13th 1833 per Subscription site www.findmypast.ie
Nesbitt appear to be mainly in Cork with a number of marriages in Cork City and Cloyne.
Those details may have been already supplied to you.

McCoy, many thanks for this information. The Warder & Dublin Weekly Mail article is particularly interesting. I knew that they were married in 1833 but have never seen this announcement giving her late father's name and town. It opens the door to exploring the Nesbitt family - a task which has been a dead end for some 20 or more years. So thank you very much.
The dates of the other links don't seem to correlate but I will certainly follow them up.
Best wishes
Peter

Peter,
Please see attached details from the Dublin Observer newspaper dated February 9th 1833.
The printing is clearer.
I have not found any any record of a John Nesbitt in Fermoy. There are a number of "John Nesbitt" in Counties - Kilkenny, Tipperary and Limerick - 1815 Veterinary Surgeon. The records are on Subscription site www.rootsireland.ie - Roman Catholic and Church of Ireland.

Peter,
Further information on a John Nesbitt - Fermoy - 1810.
Unfortunately many public records were destroyed during the Irish Civil War in 1922.
