Hi Margot and Cora
Thanks very much for your replies...I was hoping to confirm if Bridget Ruane of Gilroe 1839-1900 was indeed the healer and herbalist Bridget who had met with with Lady Gregory of Coole park
Bridget Ruane is mentioned in the following article:-
https://doi.org/10.24162/EI2023-11431
https://www.estudiosirlandeses.org/2023/03/revivalist-medical-herbs-and…
I have also posted any information that I have about Bridget 1839-1900 at the following link
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Linane-10
It appears that Bridget of Gilroe County Galway is in fact Bridget the herbalist / healer that is mentioned by Lady Gregory but I do not have conclusive evidence of this.
Catherine Flanagan born Catherine McInerney originally married Patrick Linane in 1876
I believe that Patrick Linane was a brother of Bridget (Linane) Ruane (1839-1900)
Marriage record Patrick Linnane and Catherine McInerney 1876
Patrick Linane died in 1879
Death record Pat Linnane 1879_Age 43
Catherine remarried in 1881 to Pat Flanagan
Marriage record Pat Flanagan and Kate Linnane 1881
