Looking for Family Information

Hello! We have a bit of a mystery in our family and I am hoping someone here can shed some light on it. 

I am looking for information on Andrew Rooney b.1847 in Kilcoo, married Catherine. It is thought Catherine was Roman Catholic. 

Joseph Rooney was born to them (date unknown). Joseph Rooney married Alice Brown. Quite possibly in Liverpool, or they moved to Liverpool at some point in their lives. 

The Kilcoo Rooney's had fishing in their background and it has been told to us that there was a dreadful incident where some of the Rooney brothers were drowned in a fishing disaster. We are looking for details on this incident. 

I have so far been unsuccessful in finding any information so far. If anyone can help I would be very grateful.
