Hi,
I've discovered an ancestor via ancestary.com called James Gubbin born circa 1780 who was born in Knocklong. He married a girl from Limerick called Bridget Barry in 1809 and I assume they lived in Knocklong as they had a daughter Ann(e) in 1813 and my records show she too is from Knocklong.
Ann(e) married Edmond Ryan from Killoscully on 1st January 1830 in Knocklong , Glenbrohane Parish.
They had at least 8 children, my great great grandmother was one of them, called Catherine "Kate" Elizabeth Ryan, born in Pallasgreen 12 January 1840.
Catherine married Michael Nolan in 1863 in Limerick and they had 11 children, my great grandmother was the 8th, called Alicia Nolan who went on to become a concert pianist, whilst born in Ballysimon on 9 April 1878, the Nolans moved to Australia where she married my great grandfather Patrick Francis Baulman who was from Tipperary.
Any records you have about the family would be amazing or even photos of what the area looked like.
Thanks
Tanya

Tanya, I think you are talking about some of my family here however, my Joseph Gubbins was married to Hanora May Ryan. Apart from this everything else fits.
Joseph Gubbins (1779 - 1/1/1829) m Hanora May Ryan (1780 - 22/7/1840). They are buried in St Ailbe’s churchyard yard in Emly in Tipperary along with their daughter Anne Ryan (Gubbins).
Anne Gubbins (daughter of Joseph Gubbins) married Edmund Ryan on 1/1/1830 in Knocklong, Glenbrohane Parish.
Two of their children were my gggrandmother, Honoria Mary Ryan, 8/9/1834 - 26/7/1907 (died in Sydney) and Catherine (Kate) Elizabeth Ryan (1840 -?)
My gggrandmother, Honoria Mary Ryan married James Gubbins Kirby on 2/2/1856 in Pallasgreen and Templebredin parish Tipperary. The family of 9 children arrived in Sydney on a ship called the Cuszco on 24/4/1880.
Kate Ryan married Michael Nolan on 14/2/1863 in Templebredin. She was married by one of her uncles the Rev James Ryan PP and the Rev Mr Nolan. I only have two of their children on my tree. Mary (Sis) Nolan married John O’Rourke. She died in 1996 aged 100 and Alicia Mary Nolan, who I have no information for. We are obviously talking about the same family here.
I presume you live in Australia and I would be happy to give you what info I have and you could obviously fill in a lot of gaps in my family tree.

Hi There
It seems that you are talking about the Gubbins Family that got a grant of land after the Cromwellian Settlement in 1656 in Dromin/Athlacca Parish ( Civil Parish Bruree ? ) This was an exceptionally long tailed family. They first settled in Maidstown Castle and branched out from there to Hospital--Knocklong--Bruff---Bruree how long is a piece of string. The Gubbins family have a cript in Dromin Graveyard, there is also a private graveyard in the grounds of Kilfrush Estate, Knocklong which passed out of the Gubbins Family when Maureen Gubbins married Pat Hogan and it was eventually sold in the 1960's and purchased by the Mulcahy Family (J P Mulcahy) and it was here that President Nixon stayed when in Ireland in the 1960's.
There is so much on the Gubbins Family that I would need a book to put it all down, there are still decandents of the Gubbins Family living in Athlacca and I am in touch with members of that family in Peru and Spain.
