My gggrandfather, Patrick J Farrelly, was born in Ireland around 1832 and emigrated to Danish West Indies by 1853. He might have been born in Co Cavan - I am not sure. He became an overseer on a sugar plantation in St Croix. Unfortunately I have no info on parents or siblings, but his children, all born in St Croix are the following:
Children with Petrine Geipel: Mary, Philip Patrick, Rose, Terrence, Georgina,
and
children with Carol Adams: Mary Ann, Herman & Philip.
Please respond if you have any info.
Many, many thanks.
Joan

It appears the above children emigrated to New York around 1909, I can not find Patrick or details of the second family with Carol Adams but records for the first family are on family search (LDS) site.

Thanks so much for responding. I have much info on him and his descendants once he arrives in St. Croix. I am seeking info on his Irish ancestors and place of birth. My apologies: my message should have been more explicit. Joan

I believe i am related to you. My grandmother Christine Farrelly's parents were Philip and Margaret. Philip's father was John Patrick Farrelly.

Hi Jeanine, It is great to hear from you - thanks so much for responding. I do not have Christine Farrelly in my tree in Ancestry: Scott-Ashton Family Tree. My tree is public in ancestry and can be accessed via the website:

I think you have to create a free account in ancestry if you do not already have one in order to view my tree. I would truly appreciate feedback or info on any missing or misidentified people, as I do not have John Patrick Farrelly in my tree either.
It is so great to meet you - looking forward to hearing from you. Take care, Joan
