Baptism Records Addresses (1817-1829)

Subscription site  www.rootsireland.ie has the following records:

Condon - Margaret - Baptism Mitchelstown March 29th 1817 - Father - Michael Condon - Mother Elizabeth Nevil. Address - Bannanan

Condon - Michael - Baptism Mitchelstown June 15th 1829 - Parents - Michael Condon and Elizabeth Neville - Address- Bawnonll

Do those records mean anything to you?

A check of Tithe records 1823 - 1837 did not show any of the three addresses in the parish of Mitchelstown - otherwise - Brigtown-Marshalstown.There was a John Condon in Marshalstown in 1831.

It would appear that the addresses are local names.

Correction - Mitchelstown - Parish should read  BRIGOWN - as shown

Wayne:

There is a townland in Brigown civil parish called Parknakilla which is likely the townland for the Elizabeth Condon baptismal record. As McCoy indicated the other two locations are likely local place names.
