Hi, all , I need help in locating siblings and parents of my 2GGF, Timothy Murphy , pig farmer of Bunkilla Farm, Fornacht via Donoughmore , Cork . He married Margaret Mahony (1823, Aug 29, Berrings via Iniscarra , Cork-1873, Cork ) at St Mary’s , RCcin Berrings on Jan 31 1855 and had 4 children , Timothy(1855) , John Timothy(1858) , Johanna (1861)and Bridget (1863), I think Timothy’s parents are either a John Murphy and Honora Cleary, my 3GGP, from Donoughmore and he was baptised on May 7 1809 or Timothy Murphy and Bette Waters(1779, Kilshannig via Mallow Cork ) or Hannah Lennehan , my 3GGP? I’d also need to know how many siblings Timothy has and their respective DoBs-, John , Daniel , Patrick and Hannah ?? And where in Donoughmore Cross Old cemetery the Murphy Family vault is ?
Cheers , Tim Murphy (Melbourne, AU)

Hi all,
I've since found out that my 3GGP are Timothy Murphy, Farmer, and Joannah/Joanna/Joana Linehan/Lenihan (1788-?), both hailing from Bunkilla farmlands SE Donaghmore, Cork. They married in Mar 1 1810 in Donaghmore, Cork and had at least 6 children starting w my 2GGF, Timothy (1812-1902),.... John (1820-?), Darby (1824-?) , Hannah (1826-??, Daniel and Bridget.
Timothy Murphy, my 3GGF was evicted from Bunkilla farmland as tenant farmer at beginning of potato famine in 1847.
William Murphy (uncle/ father/ brother of groom) and Daniel Lenihan (father/ brother/uncle of brideare listed as sponsors/ witnesses at 1810 wedding. If anyone knows any more than this or purports to be a fourth cousin, please get in touch asap.
Regards,
Tim Murphy,

Have spoken to a local historian john O’Connell from Stuake Donoughmore , this is a townland very close to Fornaught, there was 33 cottages in fornaught owned by a Landlord by the Surname Wyse, he owned a lot of property in cork city and county, he evicted all of the tenants from their cottages in 1847, the tenants lived in the bushes with their animals for quite sometime , ur ancestor was one of he ubfortunates evicted !

Leslie,
Cannot thank you enough.
How can I get in touch w John O'Connell from Stuake Donoghmore? Can he provide an 1847 map of all tenant farmers of Bunkilla farmlands, owned by Wyse, including plot use by my 3GGF, Timothy Murphy? Might he know what 3GGF did after 1847?
yours expectantly,
Tim Murphy
