Hello,

Any information on Mary McFall would be appreciated.  I believe she might have been born in July 1841 in Belfast.  Her mother's name is definitely Elizabeth, but I have no idea about the father's name.

    Mary McFaul is a fairly common name in Ireland (there were 68 in the 1901 Irish census, many living around the Belfast area). So you need to take great care when searching. Without both parents names it will be difficult to be sure you have the right person.

    Have you found a marriage or a death for this lady, as those certificates might give more information on her parents?

    We also need to know what denomination she was. If she was RC the surviving RC baptisms for Belfast are on the rootsireland site (subscription). For other denominations you might need to search the records in PRONI in Belfast which are not on-line.
