Hello, would anyone have clues to origins of Catherine (maiden name unknown) Stapleton, born around 1810; or her children Ann, b. approx. 1836, and Martin, b. approx. 1839? Catherine's husband, 1st name unknown, apparently died between 1839 and 1855. Sorry I don't have any clues to County of origin. Thanks very much, Bill Leonard

Hi Bill, did one of the children go to the USA?

Bill:
I searched on two subscription sites and did not find a Martin Stapleton baptismal record with mother Catherine. Possibly he was baptized in a church which does not have records back to the 1830s.

Roger, thanks again for your ongoing assistance!
Margot, yes to your question--I show this family arriving in New York in 1855. My ancestor is Martin Stapleton, who settled in Monmouth County, NJ, but I don't know that this is the same Martin--I don't have any documentation on his parents or siblings, or his county of origin in Ireland. My thought is to try and trace Catherine and Ann in the US, to verify whether I have the right family.
