I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and I believe the priest in Ballyclough made a mistake in recording the name of Timothy Callaghan;s mother as Margaret. I believe her name was Mary Kelly and I think he switched the name of the sponsor with the mother's name.
There is a February 2 1856 marriage between a John Callaghan and a Mary Kelly in the Milford (Freemount) RC parish which is the RC parish just to the north of Ballyclough. Mary would have been from Milford parish.
Besides Timothy, John and Mary had at least five other children as follows:
Patrick 1859 Mary 1861 John 1862 Catherine 1864 Michael 1865
The family lived in Ballythomas townland in Ballyclogh civil parish. See civil birth record for Michael (fourth record)
