Good morning. I've been researching my 2x great-grandmother Winifred Burke and am trying to find out more about her parents, whom I suspect were Flan Burke and Honor Rider (names spelled thus in the church register).
I believe Winifred was baptised in the parish of St Nicholas North and East in 1832. (Her name was mis-transcribed as Wumfred, so she's not easily found in an online search). I also suspect her mother Honor was baptised in the same parish in 1815.
Unfortunately, in the baptism registers for St Nicholas North and East, no record has been kept of the parents' place of residence. This seems a shame. So I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a map of the boundaries of that parish. Then at least I would have a rough idea of where they lived. I haven't been able to find a map that shows the specific Galway City parishes. I did find one that shows 'Galway City' as a parish, on johngrenham.com.

According to rootsireland.ie, Honor Rider and Flann Burke had at least three other children:

A search of Tithe Records - 1823 - 1837 and Griffith's Valuations 1850/60 for Galway Town and County Galway did not show any "Flan/Flannan Burke".
In Galway Town there are 5 records for "Ryder".
The first name "Flannan" is associated with County Clare and it is possible that he came from there. The surname "Ryder" can be found on the Galway/Clare border, so it is possible that the couple came from that area.
I attach detail of areas within the parish of Saint Nicholas - South and East. Bohermore extends North East from Eyre Square where there is one entry for "Burke" 1827.

Further to previous Post, I attach records from the 1901 Irish Census.
There is Honor Burke at No. 24 and Kate Ryder at No. 29. While they are too young to be children of Flan Burke and Honor Ryder, they indicate that the names were in Bohermore. See Forms B1,2 and 3 for residents.

Attached details of the death of a Flan Burke in Galway - Remembrance Mass January 15th 1843.
Apparently there was a vast congregation at the early Mass on Christmas Morning 1842 and as a result of human crush, 33 persons died - (Including a Flan Burke) and 20 were injured.
