  • The information is a bit limited and Armagh has quite a big population. Neill is a common name in the area.

I can see a marriage registered in the city of Armagh on 4th August 1938 between a Thomas Neill and Mary Flavell. Perhaps that’s your family? You can view the original certificate on-line on the GRONI website, using the “search registrations” option. You will need to open an account and buy some credits. It costs £2.50 (sterling) to a view a certificate:

If you think that’s your family I suggest you have a look at the certificate to get all the details. If you post a copy of the certificate here (or all the details from it) I’ll see if I can advise on where they lived etc.

Deaths within the past 50 years are not on-line. They are open to the public but you either have to go to GRONI in Belfast in person, or pay someone else to do that for you.  Assuming Reggie, Dorothy & Kenneth all died in Northern Ireland then they shouldn’t be too difficult to find as the names are quite distinctive. But if those deaths were in the past 50 years (as seems likely) then you need to go to GRONI to find them.

I searched the newspaper archives for mentions of their deaths but did not find any entries.

A Dorothy Neill died in Belfast on 9th May 1959 aged 17. That was the only one of the names I could find in the on-line records.
