Dia Duit! Hello! I have been searching for my great great grandmother's place of origin in Ireland, but am hitting a wall as I have almost no information on her or her parents. I unfortunately haven't even been able to find a birth or death date. I know that her name was Margaret S. Daley(b. between 1844-1848) and her parents were John Daley (b. 1805 or 1814) and Catherine Daley (nee O'Neil, born 1805 or 1814). I also know that she had an older sister named Teresa (b. 1833) who married someone with the last name of Carr in Dublin prior to coming to the US. Once in the US, the family settled in the Worcester, MA area. Would anybody have any connections or suggestions on where to look for info? I have tried rootsireland.ie as well as the vital records for MA but have come up empty handed. Any help is greatly appreciated! Go raibh maith agat!

Be sure to try the free site irishgenealogy.ie and look at church records.
Did John and Catherine emigrate? Or just their daughters?

Thank you so much for the quick reply! As far as I can tell, John and Catherine did immigrate to the US with their family. They had other kids as well, Maurice, Patrick and Catherine I believe. Margaret's married name was Doane. She married Chauncey F. Doane in either MA or Tolland, CT I think. Thanks again!
