Hello,

I am researching my 3xgreat grandmother Hanora Carroll, (1818 - ? ), daughter of Michael Carroll and sister of John, James, William, and Thomas Carroll.  She married John Callaghan of Kilbreedy Minor, Mount Blakeney, around 1836 and had seven children.  She died in Effin between 1850 (birth of her last child Kate) and 1858 (when the family migrated to South Australia).  Mostly, I am trying to find her death date, but any other details of the family would be welcome.

  • Kevin: Unfortunately, the records for the RC parish of Effin/Garrienderk start in 1843 https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0882 so the only baptismal records I could locate were for James (1844) and Kate (1850). There are no Effin RC parish death records pre-1864 and civil death registration did not begin until 1864. Roger McDonnell
