Hi. I am trying to locate information on the death of my great-great grandfather, Timothy Clarke. He supposedly died in Ballymahon, County Longford around March 1876. Born in Fort William, County Longford around 1843. I know birth information would be difficult to find, but any information on this man would be appreciated. My great-grandfather, Timothy Joseph Clarke was born in 1876 so it would have been a very difficult time for my gg grandmother, Cecilia. Thank you in advance. Valerie

Fortwilliam townland is in Cashel civil parish, Co. Longford, the Catholic Parish was also named Cashel or 'Newtowncashel' with a chapel at Newtown in Cornadowagh townland. Baptism records for the parish cover back to 1830 so if Timothy snr was born there he could appear in these registers. Newtowncashel register images : https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0153
Fortwilliam townland is quite close to the county border with County Roscommon - just a few km away across Lough Ree...

Thank you so much for this information. Is there any way to find where he is buried? I am coming to Ireland soon and would like to visit his grave if there is one. I appreciate the help!
