Francis Thornhill and Honora Heyes married sometime in 1770-1790

The Thornhill family still operate in Kildorrery Co. Cork they are eye specialists for many years I know this because a Thornhill married an O'Rourke in the early 1800's and they are my mothers family.

Thank you for your reply. I know that the Thornhill's are still in Kildorrery, I was fortunate enough to visit Kildorrery  about a month and a half ago but did not meet them. I was concentrating on getting information about the O'Donnell family who ran the post office next to the Thornhill Hotel.

Please can you tell me if the Thornhill who married an O'Rourke was a sibling of St John Thornhill and if so, do you happen to know who their parents were? 

I have Ellen Thornhill of Limerick born around 1823 to John and Catherine (O'Mara) and who married Patrick O'Rouke in 1856 in Kilfinnane, Limerick. Do you know if and how the Thornhills of Limerick and of Kildorrery are related?

Butcher Cork M 1840 O'Rourke's Cross, 6 . Ellen Thornhill +Patrick O'Rourke, 7 .Julia Thornhill +John Fitzgerald, 8 . Kitty Thornhill + Hennessy, 9 .William Thornhill + O'Donnell Down from that came at least 4 different families two of Thornhill's and two O'Rourke's.
