hello looking for any info on Edward Timlin born abt 1860 in Co mayo, i believe in Killala and his family. I know according to the marriage cert i found on genealogy that his father was Charles Timlin, his wife was Mary Farrell they got married 10 May 1896 in Killala Co Mayo, they had 7 children 1 of which died 5hrs after birth the eldest was born 1897 and youngest was born 1906 they had 3 girls n 4 boys including the 1 that died, the eldest girl died at 10wks of age. The 1911 Census shows only 4 children 1 of which according to birth records i have found should of also been in the 1901 census but isnt and no wife, the 1901 census shows his wife and the eldest son only though there should be an additional son on there unless he was in hospital at time of census but according to the 1911 census the child that isnt on the 1901 census was born 1899 yet the 1911 census has him as only being 7 yrs old, i have check thoroughly through the genealogy site but that is the only date of birth i got for that child as i 1st checked the yrs 1900-1911 for the additional children that was on the 1911 census and when i type in his name it comes up as a blank no person found yet got the other additional children from using the same way as did them all individually any help would be appreciated

snowfrill:
The subscription site Roots Ireland has a July 31 baptismal record (born July 30) for an Edward Timblin with father Charles Timblin mother Bridget Conmee. The RC church was Kilmoremoy/Ballina. NOTE the Killala baptismal records start in April 1852 so if your Edward was baptized in that parish a record would be available. Likely the Ballina record is your record.
I also found seven birth records: John 1897, Gertrude 1898, Edward 1899, unknown July 1901, Martin 1903, Mary 1904, Annie 1906. Can't explain why young Edward was shown as 7 in 1911 Don't know what happened to Martin.

also if Mary Timlin was born in 1904 she couldnt of been 46 in the 1911 census so that could be a Different Mary Timlin if you have a look at this 1911 census you will see what i mean

which makes Edward Timlin 51 yet i typed in Edward Timlin on the 1911 census and only 1 person showed up even with me putting the age in and that was in same area but only had him in the census no children so very curious

that census you showed Roger McDonnell could possibly be the right census as it was Mary Timlin the mother her maiden name was Farrell and was born in 1864 i did a bit of calculation obviously as well having mum as Mary n child as Mary it can get confusing LOL

its also interesting is that when you do a fullscreen of that particular census it shows she had 8 children yet i know of 7 and only 4 are living i know of 2 that died same yr or just after birth and 1 can get a birth record for but no other info he was in the 1911 census n was born 1903 but cant find anything like death record, marriage record or any other record and the 7 children i have were all born before 1911 and 5 of them were in the 1911 census so that could be a possibility but considering 5 were in the 1911 census with their dad Edward Timlin that would make it that it would be the wrong Mary Timlin census, ive also checked the genealogy for her death going from 1906 as that was yr last child was born till 1911 both in Killala and Ballina, Killala no records found, Ballina 1 record found but age is totally wrong as it says age 76 and in 1911 Mary Timlin, maiden name Farrell would of been 47
