My ggg grandfather George Price was born about 1833, presumably in Clifden, Co. Galway and died in 1883 in Denny, Scotland. His parents were George Price a farmer and and Ann Corbett. George married Winifred McCue (McQue) (abt.1831-1885) between March or April of 1846 to 1851. They were Catholic. Winifred's mother was Winifred Rotch. I only have her father's surname of 'McCue'. He was also a farmer.
Their children's Scottish birth records record different years for their marriage in Clifden, Co. Galway and some say March and some say April. George and Winifred migrated to Scotland between about 1846 - 1854. They had several children and settled in Denny, Scotland where they remained.

Cat:
The records for the Clifden RC parish start in 1838. However, when I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland, I did not locate a marriage record. His baptismal records would have predated when records are available. I also did not find any baptismal records for any siblings of George Price. Likely the marriage occurred in a nearby parish which does not have records back to the 1840s. Many emigrants used the nearest large town when they completed civil records which might explain why Clifden was shown.
You may want to consider DNA testing which might yield matches with third cousins.

Cat,
Subscription site www.rootsireland.ie has a record of the baptism of a Mary Price in Omey, Clifden on May 1st 1838.
Her father is recorded as George Price and her mother as Honor Murry.
Baptismal Sponsors: Dominic Corbette and Cecily Madden.
The address was Kingstown, which may now be known as Ballymaconry.
Possible connection to your family?
Regards,
McCoy

Roger, thank you so much for checking. I've done my dna with MyHeritage and Ancestry. Not connected to any relatives in Ireland yet. (My Ancestry test came back I'm 57% Irish). Thank you for your help.
McCoy, thank you so much for checking. I'll look at Mary Price. Sounds interesting. Thanks again.
