John Bourke's daughter Mariah Agnes born ~1850 in Gort Galway. Married in Australia in 1871 to WIlliam H Toohey aka Pat. She is my Great great grandmother. I can't find a John Bourke near Gort in the Griffith's valuation. I believe he also had a son Patrick and another daughter Mary who married into the Hund family. Very keen to learn more about this family.

Sorry for the delay in replying to your query.
The surname Bourke is usually spelt as Burke in the Gort area of Co. Galway.
I only found one John Bourke in Griffith's Valuation (1855) . He resided in the townland of Carrowgarriff which is usually called Beagh. It is also in the civil parish of Beagh. His descendants still live there but they spell their surname as "Burke". Their address is Beagh, Gort, Co. Galway.
This John Burke married Catherine Kelly (1825-1895). She was actually a sister of my great-grandmother Anne Kelly who married John Fahy.
Their son Patrick inherited the family farm. You can find him in the 1901 census in Carrowgarriff (Ardimullivan D.E.D.), Co. Galway.
All this information may not lead you to the real John Bourke. It's worth trying anyway.
