Hi Trish!
I had the same lack of success that you did and I'm wondering if possibly there were married in England and when Bridget became pregnant with John they returned to Derrygullinaun.

Hello Trish,
After the year 1946 Harrogate was situated in the Claro Registration District, West Riding of Yorkshire. I suspect that Patrick and Bridget Walsh had died after 1946. If that is the case I found their death indexes at the FreeBMD website.
For more information about the Claro Registration District, see: https://www.ukbmd.org.uk/reg/districts/claro.html
According to the index for Patrick, his death was recorded in the Claro Registration District in the June quarter of 1953. At the time of death he was 88 years old.
Below is a transcription of the death index from the FreeBMD website:
Death June Quarter 1953
Patrick Walsh
Age at Death: 88
Registration District: Claro
Volume: 2C
Page: 78
____The death record for Patrick can be found in Volume 2C, Page 78 of the General Register Office (GRO) death registers. More on this later.
The GRO index for Bridget Walsh shows her death was recorded in the Claro Registration District in the June quarter of 1965. Her age at death was 86:
Death June Quarter 1965
Bridget Walsh
Age at Death: 86
Registration District: Claro
Volume: 2C
Page: 108
____Bridget’s death record can be found in Volume 2C, Page 108 of the GRO registers. You can order both Patrick and Bridget's death records online from the GRO website at: https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/login.asp
You will have to set up a free account before ordering from the GRO.
The cost for each death cert will be £11.00 if you supply the GRO reference numbers from each death index. For example, the GRO reference for Patrick is Claro Registration District, Volume 2C, Page 78.
For Bridget the reference would be Claro Registration District, Volume 2C, Page 108.
With Kind Regards,

Thankyou,I will try out the links and see if I can find more of the family,I rang stonefall cemetery as they were both living in Harrogate when they died I gave them the details of their deaths Patrick 17 April 1953,Bridget 13 June 1965,they found the grave through Bridget's details, they also told me Patrick was a builders labourer, which I did not know, also in the grave was my uncle joe(Patrick Joseph) a chef who died 1962 age 48,they even gave me the address where Bridget died which was my auntie annie(Ann Catherine and also Annie Kate)registered twice.they have sent me a map of where the grave is,no headstone so hope to visit with my sisters and brother, will probably get the death certificates I have the births from rootsireland, will hope someone in the family might find the marriage, when I give them the tree's .

Many thanks for the update Trish. Will the cemetery allow you and your family to install a headstone for Patrick and Bridget?
Thank you again,
Dave

Yes I would think so,will talk to my brother and sisters about it,think there are rules at most graveyards about the type of headstones you have, when my father died they did a search for us and found the grave of my brother that died when I was a baby,so my father and then my mother could be buried there,we have put a black marble headstone up with a gold claddagh at the top and all their names on,there is a willow tree hanging over it which was very apt as the song we chose for our mother's funeral was gentle mother by Foster and Allen which mentions a willow tree,we also went to the farm at Cornonagh where our mother was born and planted a tree,we know the man who bought it.

Thank you Trish. That black marble headstone up with a gold claddagh and overhanging willow sounds nice.
