I am searching for information please on my Great Great and Great Grandparents. Edward Flannery married Margaret ?? They had a son in May 09-1863 and his name is Patrick Joseph Flannery.  He migrated to Boston later on in life and married Sarah Broderick.  Sarah passed in 1925 in Boston and I believe she was born in 1869. Possibly in County of Galway.  I am not sure of this. I know her Father's name is: William Broderick. He might have married a Gorman. This is what my Mother told me. Patrick passed in 1950 in New Jersey and his Children were in the USA born in Masschusetts:  Lawrence, or Patrick Lawrence, William and Margaret.  Patrick was a farmer at first when he came to the US and eventually became a gardner for the rest of his life. Thank You for any help this brings to our family reaching out.

    I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland. The only record I can find is a Patt Flannery born October 20 1861 and baptized October 28 1861 in the Craughwell RC parish in Co. Galway. Father was Edmond Flannery and mother Margaret Kelly. Craughwell is a small village between Loughrea and Galway city. The parents were married August 28 1848 in Craughwell. I only see baptismal record for two siblings: Edmond 1858 and Honor 1866. Likely they were living in a different parish between 1848-1858 and that parish no longer has records back to that period.

    Let me know if you think this is the correct family?

    Will you confirm Sarah Brodrick's parents names and source as other researchers indicate her Father's name was Patrick rather than William?

    Have you a DNA profile as my Cousin is a Broderick descendant and I think she has linked with me on Ancestry DNA.

  • Thank You. I only know on the marriage license and notice for Sarah when she married Patrick Flannery that she listed her Fsthers name as willam and no name for her Mother. So it is possible I do have DNA done on Ancestry but so far not really a connection with the name but with an idea of 8or so cousin. Sarah came over on her own on a ship at age 15 and it seems her DOB is 1869. It is possible her middle name is Francis. Thank You for any help at all. God Bless.
